Let’s Get Connected

Today we are connected in so many ways that it’s hard to remember what it was like before the Internet or the mobile phone. These technologies have transformed the way we live and have created many innovations that we can’t (as much as we hate to admit it) live without. The need for a fast, reliable, and properly engineered home network is critical to fully enjoying the features and benefits of this technology age. RMS has the solutions to allow you to maximize the capabilities of your Internet and all your connected devices.

Today, a high speed Internet connection can provide your home with almost unlimited entertainment.  Music, television shows, movies, and even video games can be easily accessed through a properly designed and managed home network.  You wouldn’t consider equipping your home with an antiquated electrical system, plumbing that won’t support your needs, or a climate-control system that won’t keep you comfortable. A home network has become a very important sub-system that needs proper design and implementation to ensure your family can enjoy all the “Cloud” has to offer.

Cable boxes, DVDs, and CDs will be things of the past in the very near future thanks to the “Cloud.”  We’re hearing a lot about the “Cloud,” but what exactly is it? The concept is quite simple:  the “Cloud” is how high-speed Internet provides this content to our homes, on-demand.  In addition to entertainment options, the “Cloud” offers a secure location for backing-up your personal digital content, and the ability to access it anywhere.  The “Cloud” provides vast access to media material and its uses are almost limitless. New innovations are constantly being developed.

Online media services such as Apple’s iTunes, Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, and YouTube enrich many of our lives. Interactive, online game services, such as XBox Live and Steam, are popular family experiences connecting players around the globe. Communication services, like Skype, have given us the ability to easily, and economically, connect with family and friends on another block or even another continent. Through Facebook and Twitter, we can keep in touch with childhood friends and keep tabs on a son or daughter away at college.

To fully utilize these services, and many more, a reliable wired and wireless home network is required.  In addition to allowing easy access to these online services, RMS is able to integrate your home’s other sub-systems, including lighting, HVAC, and home security onto a comprehensive, secure, home network.  RMS has the knowledge and experience to design, engineer, and implement a network tailored to your family’s specific needs.

Once a customized home network is established, using it couldn’t be easier!  A home computer, iPad, or even an iPhone can access and control all the systems on a properly constructed and integrated home network.  Imagine using your iPhone to turn up the heat in your home as your plane touches down on the runway, ensuring a cozy and warm homecoming.  Or, turning the lights on in your foyer as you pull into your driveway on a dark night. RMS can design a reliable infrastructure to channel this amazing technology.

Managing all those systems and gadgets can be frustrating and consume a lot of precious time when you’re trying to figure out a problem. To make things worse, the only person you could rely on has now gone off to college! We are proud to have very experienced technicians that can solve problems quickly as well as answer any questions. As part of our commitment to our clients, we take extra steps in setting up your network to provide monitoring capabilities that alerts us of potential problems, even before you know they are happening! In many cases, problems are solved remotely right over the Internet.

RMS has built its reputation on fast, reliable service. We want you to know that your investment with us is in capable hands.  Let RMS design a system to provide you with the best experience possible. We’ll provide you with the sensible solutions you deserve. Let’s get connected!
